As a multinational finance company, American Express (Amex) manages thousands of vendor contracts servicing all facets of the company. Their applications, as well as their process for managing contracts, were disjointed, manual and spanned multiple systems. Additionally, all new vendor requests required interaction with internal company resources. Amex needed a solution that would centralize their vendor management process and reduce the strain on their procurement department. Leveraging the ServiceNow platform, Veracity developed a service catalog representing thousands of vendors and contract categories. The new solution, which links the procurement and purchasing processes together, serves as a “one-stop” destination for employee requisitions. The result is a superior solution that reduces manual interactions and gives AMEX greater visibility of their vendor contracts across the enterprise.
